Summer is Finally Here!

Too bad I'm sick, boo! Actually, I'm getting over a cold...still there, lingering. Hopefully it'll go away by this weekend. Not only because of the awesome Greek Festival that's going to happen

(There's nothing Greek about this, I just love that guys expression.)
but because it's also my b-day weekend. I haven't gone to the Greek Fest in years so I plan on going this time, sick or not. If you're curious about what goes on, click on the photo and it'll take you to an article that'll tell you the gist of the festivities.

That is my summer song for '09. Not exactly sure why, I don't normally choose songs to represent a particular year. I just love that it's a rock song that's so danceable. Or is it indie rock? Whatever, it's just pure awesomeness.

I remember in '05, my HS graduation year, my summer song was Girl by Beck. Still in love with it, although it's morbid. And I think in '07, the songs were Young Folks by Peter, Bjorn & John and Lazy Eye by Silversun Pickups.
The lyrics don't really relate to the season. So I don't really know why I put them under this category. Weird, I know but it wouldn't be me any other way.


I almost forgot this one: I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas. Even though the song is unbelievably repetitive. Sadly, I just found out about this song a week ago. Summer is almost over, lol. I don't like BEP which is why I found out about it pretty late. It's such a feel good song, there hasn't been one out lately.

I should create a list of all of my summer songs. Haha, I can't even bring myself make a cd mix. Eh, I'll do that in a another blog...someday.

Haha, I failed!

Some people probably do this, setting goals for the summer.  I only had one.  ONE goal and I did not complete that.  Pretty pathetic but thats what I get for procrastinating constantly.  That one goal is to clean my room.  Yeah, I've been a complete mess this year due to slight depression.
Well, technically summer isn't over yet so I still have a chance in completing my goal :P
Summer ends I believe in September 21?  Somewhere around that date.  I have to clean out my drawers and that is a huge task.  I never want to throw anything away which is another reason why it's kinda difficult for me to actually finish my room.  There is a pile of papers that I have to sort through to see if I need them or not.  I did clean my closet!  So the summer didn't go to waste as I thought :)
